Mr. Kosec passed away on Monday, November 4 at Cleveland Clinic. He was born on June 19, 1948 in Croatia and has been a resident of Willoughby for 16 years. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his entire family. A Cleveland resident all her life, Mary was raised on E. 63rd St. near St. Clair Ave. where her Croatian immigrant parents owned a candy store and pool room. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna (Bernardic) Curilovic and loving sister of the following deceased: Frank, Joseph, and Mark (Vera, surviving) Curilovic and Frances (Jack) Pallat. Mary worked for the City of Cleveland Recreation Dept. for 25 years as a Certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. During the late 50s through the 70s she taught hundreds of children (and their children) how to swim at the St. Clair Recreation Center (aka "The Bath House"). She also taught water ballet, lifeguard training and coached women's basketball. "Mrs. Tushar" was an inspiration to her students and after her 1980 retirement former students would still thank her for teaching them how to swim. Antun "Tony" Turniski. Funeral Mass for Antun Turniski, 67, of Willoughby Hills will be held Friday, March 8, 10am at St. Paul Croatian Church, 1369 E. 40th Street, Cleveland. (Please Meet at Church) Mr. Turniski passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 and was born in Drenje, Croatia on May 20, 1945. He has lived in Willoughby Hills for over 35 years. He worked as a machinist for Horsburgh-Scott for 36 years before retiring two years ago.. He is survived by his wife: Ana; his children: Sanja Jaskiewicz, Anna Weigand, Elizabeth Cvitkovic (Zeljko), and Anton Jr. (Jennifer); his grandchildren: Amanda, Kasandra, Andrew, Dijana, Sarah and Adam; his great granddaughter Audryanna; and his brother Ivica of Croatia. He was preceded in death by his parents: Karlo and Eva; his brothers: Drago and Mijo; and his sister, Liza.
